Jagdish Farshan Pvt Ltd. raises ₹43.5 Crore in Series A led by Sharrp Ventures and other individual investors

First institutional fundraise for the Gujarat-born snacks and namkeen brand; alongside a group of angel investors

AHMEDABAD, 31 August, 2026: Jagdish Farshan Pvt. Ltd, the Gujarat-born namkeens, sweet and snack brand founded in 1938, has raised ₹43.5 crore in Series A funding led by Sharrp Ventures, the investment office of Harsh Mariwala, Founder and Chairman of Marico Limited, alongside a group of angel investors.

The fundraise marks Jagdish Farshan’s first institutional capital raise and comes as the company enters its next phase of growth, with plans to build on its strong presence in Gujarat and expand into new markets across India. The company currently operates 27 retail outlets across central Gujarat, alongside two outlets in North America.

The capital will be deployed towards geographic expansion, manufacturing and supply-chain capacity, retail and institutional distribution, technology and digital commerce. Jagdish Farshan will also continue to expand its product portfolio across traditional snacks, namkeen and sweets, while investing in capabilities that can support consistent quality and scale across markets.

Aakash Kandoi, CEO, Jagdish Farshan Pvt Ltd., said: “This fundraise is about building Jagdish Farshan for the next 100 years. We have a strong foundation of consumer trust, product quality and a deep understanding of the Indian snacks and sweets category. We are now at a point where we can take what we have built in Gujarat and scale it across the country, without compromising on the qualities that have made the brand relevant for generations. The capital will help us strengthen manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, technology and people, while continuing to invest in product innovation. Our ambition is to take our Gujarat roots to consumers across India and, eventually, to global markets.”

Divya Gupta, Principal, Sharrp Ventures, said: “Jagdish Farshan combines decades of consumer trust and product heritage with the opportunity to build a much larger organised food business. At Sharrp ventures, we are particularly excited about the long-term potential of regional brands. We believe Gujarati snacks/Farsan is a category with significant headroom for growth. With its strong brand equity, deep consumer connect, and category leadership, Jagdish Farshan is uniquely positioned to capture this opportunity. Aakash and the team have a clear vision for scaling the brand beyond its traditional markets. We are excited to partner with them as a long-term capital provider in building the next chapter of this iconic brand.”

Karnametic Partners LLP acted as the exclusive investment banker to the transaction, while Badaya Law Partners acted as legal counsel. The investment has come at a time when established regional food brands are seeking to move beyond regional markets by investing in organised manufacturing, wider distribution and digital-first channels. In this market, Jagdish Farshan aims to combine its product heritage and regional strength with a modern operating platform to deepen existing markets and expand into new geographies.
