AMFI re-elects Sundeep Sikka as Chairman, Vishal Kapoor as Vice Chairman
The two executives were unanimously re-elected by AMFI’s Board of Directors following its Annual General Meeting
AHMEDABAD, 1 SEPTEMBER: The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has re-appointed Sundeep Sikka, Managing Director & CEO of Nippon Life India Asset Management, as its Chairman and Vishal Kapoor, CEO of Bandhan AMC, as Vice Chairman.
The two executives were unanimously re-elected by AMFI’s Board of Directors following the industry body’s Annual General Meeting.
In their continuing roles, Sikka and Kapoor will guide AMFI’s efforts towards the growth of India’s mutual fund industry, with a focus on strengthening market trust and expanding financial inclusion across the country.
Sikka earlier served as Chairman of AMFI from 2013 to 2015 and has been on the AMFI Board since 2009 while Kapoor has been serving as Chairman of the ARN Committee since 2020 and has been on the AMFI Board since 2018. The pair was initially elected as Chairman and Vice Chairman in the 30th AGM.
