Gold & Silver outlook: Gold prices continue to consolidate, with COMEX Gold around $4164
MUMBAI, 14 OCTOBER: Gold prices continue to consolidate, with COMEX Gold hovering around $4,164 and MCX Gold near 148,480. Recent US ADP weekly employment data and persistent inflation concerns have influenced bullion sentiment, while the US Dollar Index is trading around 102.12, supported by safe-haven demand amid escalating Middle East tensions, Ukrainian energy strikes and political uncertainty in France. A stronger dollar continues to limit gold’s recovery potential. On the domestic front, the crucial support zone is placed at 148,000–144,400. The near-term outlook remains cautious, with price action around this support range likely to determine the next directional move.
Silver continues to underperform gold, with COMEX Silver trading below $60 and the Gold–Silver ratio hovering around 70:1, reflecting relative weakness in silver. MCX Silver is currently trading near 219,150, with crucial support placed at 217,600–212,600. A sustained hold above this zone could help stabilize prices, while a decisive breakdown may extend the ongoing bearish pressure. The broader outlook remains cautious, with the stronger dollar and continued weakness relative to gold likely to influence near-term sentiment.

Crude Oil outlook: MCX Crude Oil has extended its gains for the fourth consecutive session, hovering around 9,000
MCX Crude Oil has extended its gains for the fourth consecutive session, hovering around 9,000, while WTI crude trades near $94.70 and Brent around $108.60 per barrel. Immediate support is placed at ₹8,600–₹8,380, while a sustained move above ₹9,035 could open the way for further upside towards ₹9,300–₹9,600. Geopolitical tensions continue to support prices, while US President Donald Trump’s decision to temporarily ease restrictions on Russian diesel exports for six months, following a request for additional supplies, could help ease global fuel shortages. Going forward, crude oil is likely to remain volatile as traders assess geopolitical developments, energy supply conditions and the impact of additional Russian diesel exports.
