AHMEDABAD, 19 DECEMBER: Asian markets opened in the red zone following the weak overnight cues from western markets. U.S. stock index futures steadied after a sharp fall on Wall Street as the Federal Reserve lowered interest rates as expected but indicated a slower pace of easing in 2025. Dow tanks by 1,100 points, posts first 10-day losing streak since 1974 while S&P 500 closed down by more than 3 percent, most fall since 2020.
