AHMEDABAD, 5 JANUARY: Asian stocks opened higher and oil prices were choppy as market looked past U.S. military action over the weekend in Venezuela to prepare for a packed week of economic data releases in the first full trading week of the year. Gold and Silver prices jumped by 1.5% and 4.2% respectively on the back of geopolitical concerns. The U.S. equity index futures are trading with mixed note while focus would be on upcoming economic data of this week.
