AHMEDABAD, 29 JANUARY: Asian equity indices have opened in the red zone amid the possibilities of escalation of geopolitical risk between the U.S. and Iran. U.S. equity index futures ticked lower as market has digested a mixed batch of earnings from major technology companies and the Federal Reserve’s latest policy decision, while positioning cautiously ahead of more key corporate results. IBM, Meta and Tesla stock prices are trading in the green zone post earnings while share prices of Microsoft fell during the post trading hours.

Gold prices soared to a record high above $5,500 an ounce while Silver prices approached $118.0 an ounce, extending its recent run following a report that U.S. President Donald Trump was considering a new strike on Iran.
